  • Spring semester's been really awesome.  I'm now in my -400 level courses for Spanish, nearly completing that major, 3/4 completed with my general electives, and have been on my way to a completing my new vision--a degree in Business.

Perhaps I don't care to write anymore.  Maybe the idea that all English majors are to become teachers scares me.  So here's the latest news for all you absentees in the last two years of my life hehe.  I changed my major and finally feel that I can complete college with my current foci.  The idea to change came about midway through the fall semester back at UOG, and I had the full support of my very own English teacher!  So here's what I'm doing...

-Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

-Bachelor of Arts in Spanish for the Professions, minor in French

Who am I kidding?  An English major?  Yeah, sure, it's what I'm good at. Truth be told I'm fucking awesome at what I do as an English major.  But I don't want to get stuck doing education.

    1.  I have no patience whatsoever to stand at the front of a classroom and deal with students all day.

    2.  I need a job that will rectify and support the current lifestyle to which I have so comfortably accustomed myself.

    3.  I want financial security and a professional title.

People say that an English degree is extremely versatile.  I used to agree with that--now I've found more versatility with a Business degree.  To satisfy my hunger for Foreign Language, I decided to keep my Spanish degree, although with a roster of nearly 22 leftover credits up for electives, I chose to minor in French--ça va bien? LOL.

Like Resh, I finally got my dream toy--my own laptop for Xmas, customized and pimped to its extreme.  Nah, I'm kidding, it's a fucking Dell--with all the power you could imagine.  And I love the ability to be so mobile.  I take it everywhere with me, but when I'm at home, my all-powerful desktop takes care of my online and general computing needs.

I also got into a car accident on 01-23-06.  Fucking asshole turned from his lane directly into mine.  He got a citation and I got his insurance to pay the reparations totaling nearly $6,000.00.  Plus I got a rent-a-car to take care of me while my car is re-conditioned to factory fresh.  No injuries, I think that's what's important.  Even for him, as stupid as he was.

Over Christmas, I went to Seattle for the very first time.  It was a very nice place, although the rain did make me not want to live there.  Hmmm, I think that's it.  Okay at the rate I operate, my next update should be in three months LOL.  Nah, I'll try and write some stuff here and there, for those of you that still read xanga.

    Mucho amor

  • Father, forgive me.  It has been sixty (60) days since my last entry.

In the remaining two months that I have with premium xanga, I'd like to make as much use of it as possible.  When the two months are up, I will cancel my xanga account and concentrate on myspace.  It's more universal, and it's what my friends use now.  Not that all of you reading this aren't my friends, but truth be told, you all have probably been contacting me on myspace more than here.  So, I just want to thank you all for reading up here in the year-and-a-half that this xanga has existed.  Time to move on...

It's Thanksgiving week.  Allow me to convey my heartfelt gratitude for having all of you, my friends, in my life and most especially to the few of you who have intricately shaped and influenced my being into what it has become today.  I wish you all of God's blessings and love.

Just to update the few of you who aren't as involved in my life anymore.  I spent an entire summer--two months--in Guam from June 24th to August 24th.  It was a most memorable summer and I miss all of the friends that I've made during its discourse.  Moreover, I'm very thankful for the opportunity given to my sisters and me that allowed us to spend time with our great-grandmother in the months before her passing.  That time is absolutely priceless.  I also had the opportunity to take a summer course at the University of Guam with my friend Mark.  In addition to the Philo--I mean FLIGHTOSOPHY--course, there were many, many memorable times.  Standing and spotting in Tiyan and Barrigada Heights [ESPECIALLY Aug. 19.], various lunches, drives down south, and a nice little vacation on Cocos Island haha...Miss you buddy.

Of course there were the Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays...or should I say Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays since they were after midnight....at Denial, The Brewery, and Spirits with JQ and Rissa...the three stooges...awesome times...miss you both as well...and all the "friends" I made at the respective clubs hehehe...

I can't emphasize how even more important it was spending time with other family members...being around all of you made me whole in a certain way...and of course getting to meet and know the CRUNKS...and eventually my inauguration as one...thanks Tedster...

After the summer had come to its end, it was time to go back to Las Vegas...and back to school.  The trip back home was tough, but I consoled myself in the knowledge that I had at least spent my summer vacation the best way I knew ---going "home"...no better summer than that.

I walked about the UNLV campus the day of my arrival, made some new friends, and bought my books.  The classes here have been very interesting and challenging...always something new going on...in fact, I was jumped up to third-year university Spanish--how awesome is that!  And I'm applying for a study abroad program.

As I had begun the semester and situated myself comfortably, I was called back to Guam...and this time on a more bittersweet note.  Nana had passed away and I was summoned as the eulogist and honorary pallbearer.  Thanks to Ted for helping me get home.  The 24 hr flight back to Guam (I had to go through Japan...u know how the layovers there suck ass) was the longest flight I'd ever taken, but the purpose overshadowed the fatigue.  After I had bid Nana farewell and headed back to Las Vegas, I spent some time playing catch-up and got myself re-situated.

November brought a bit more light back into my life.  Puenggen Minagof 2005...Got to see Cat and D.U.B. again.  Made some new friends, reacquainted with old ones...awesome times...even got some time with family...

So now I sit here in the UNLV library typing my life away and I've got class in fifteen minutes.  That was my little update for all of you.  I better head out before Profesora Rico marks me "ausente".  Take care.
